Look, it’s Johnny Depp!…In yarn form

If anyone was cruelly tricked into clicking on this post, believing you would be seeing pictures of the real Johnny Depp, I apologize but what I have to show you may be almost as good. (Plus, you can pick him up and squeeze him whenever you want, which if you tried on a real person, could be considered grounds for a restraining order.)

I found the pattern for this adorable pirate doll in awesome book called “Knitted Pirates, Princesses, Witches, Wizards & Fairies” which I highly recommend. There are lots of other amazing dolls in the book too but when I saw little guy, I knew I had to have the book. It was a little more than I wanted to spend so I waited until I had a %50 off coupon for Joann’s and by then it was sold out there so I ended up ordering it from Barnes and Noble and knocking out the cost with a gift card I got for my birthday. The book was worth every penny I would have spent on it.

The pattern was thought out down to the last detail, the doll even has rings on his fingers and beads in his hair. I’m not going to try and sell him because I want to keep him, and because it took me almost two months to make him. It will be awhile before I make another and if I do I’ll probably have to charge a ton of money for him just to make up for the time. However, if you want to make your own, definitely pick up a copy of “Knitted Pirates, Princesses, Witches, Wizards & Fairies.”
